ClearCase Explorer is used with your local ClearCase client and acts just like the Windows Explorer, except with the ability to perform ClearCase actions within it.
You use CCRC when you don't want to install ClearCase on a client machine and have ClearCase installed on a server that has the CCRC Server enabled. This allows users to remotely connect to ClearCase views/VOBs without the need to install ClearCase on their machine.
