WEB TEAM LEADER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

?Team lead role; the ability to co-ordinate the work of a small team, to track & report progress against project plans
?A team player with an ability and willingness to take and document a design, progess it through development, verification and delivery with minimal supervision
?Problem diagnosis and resolution
?Release management:assist with/complete software builds and releases
?
SKILLS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS

?3+ years experience in a commercial environment
?Experienced in web design and development
?Proficient in web programming languages (HTML/XHTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript,HTTP Protocol)
?Strong C programming skills
?Experience with shell scripting and Perl programming
?Possess a creative flair and the ability to design web based applications with contemporary user interfaces
?Linux/unix development skills including scripting and socket programming
?Honours Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering
?Excellent analytical skills and an ability to cope with ambiguity and change
?Self starter
?Good communication and documentation skills
?Team lead experience
?Familiar with source code control software & procedures (specifically Clearcase)
?
HIGHLY DESIRABLE

?Lua and/or C++ programming skills
?Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve networking problems
?Telecom protocols knowledge
?Exposure to Rich Internet Applications and Web2.0 technology AJAX, Flash, JavaScript etc
?Possess an understanding and an interest in LAN/WAN Technologies/networking concepts, protocols, applications and interfaces used within IP; TCP/IP,SIP, DNS, DHCP, IP Security, QoS, SOAP, LDAP, Web services
?Graphic design skills would also be welcomed
