I am using ClearCase remote client Version 7.1.1, and I am wondering if it's possible to delete a version that was checked in by mistake. I know that in ClearCase, this is possible by choosing delete in the right click menu (Versions tree) Anyone has the answer ?

My company has just installed clearcase server 7.1.1 at a machine and clearcase client 7.1.1 on several client machines.
The client machines are supposed to be installed wtih clearcase explorers only. The clearcase explorer will access the source codes stored on the clearcase server machine using snapshot view.
During installation, I choose the option to install Client components only. THe components include 1) Dynamic Views and 2)Local Views and VOB. So the question now is, should our client machine recommended to install the component Local Views and VOB??
After installing at CLIENT MACHINE, we notice that there is a service called Atria Location Broker. Do we have to start this service at client machine in order to update view or whatever?
I ask this question, cos some of the client machines have problem updating the views. keep getting some error
